A Letter Of Request To Sanction The Presidential Amnesty Administrator
We write to commend your total concern and sacrifices for the Niger Delta peoples struggle that have birthed the wake of many regional developing institutions, as well as social and human capital empowerment projects such as the Presidential Amnesty Program.
However, we write to bring to your attention a pressing matter concerning the welfare of beneficiaries under the Presidential Amnesty Programme (PAP). Your nominee, Dr. Dennis Burutu Otuaro, is sponsoring miscreants to disrupt the peaceful demands of delegates who are harmlessly advocating for their rights.
It’s worthy of note that, Mr. President His Excellency Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu has demonstrated his commitment to the PAP by increasing the budgetary allocation to One Hundred And Fifty One Billion Naira (₦151,000,000,000) from the initial Sixty-five Billion Naira (₦65,000,000,000) annual allocations.
We humbly request that the increased allocation also translates to an increase in our stipends to Three Hundred Thousand Naira (₦300,000) only, considering the current economic realities.
Dr. Otuaro’s actions contradict the purpose of the Amnesty Programme. Despite the President’s benevolence, he is prioritizing personal interests over the welfare of the 30,000 ex-agitators who have not received adequate care since 2009.
We therefore urge you to call Dr. Otuaro to order immediately. His actions may destabilize the relative peace enjoyed over the past 16 years and tarnish your strong reputation in the Niger Delta region. We are also calling on your swift intervention firstly that Dr. Otuaro should stop throwing seeds of discord using his boys, such as, Leader Ebi John, Gen. Victor Nelson (Occasion Boy), Gen. Davidson Richman, Gen. Inko Brightstar (WhoKnows Tomorrow), Gen. Princewill Kotingo, Gen. Indutimi Victor (XDog), Theophilus Vicas Ebiama.
Lastly, that he should immediately attend to the seamless plights of the beneficiaries.
