The EFCC has commenced investigations into the bank accounts of some individuals and organisations allegedly sponsoring the planned nationwide protest, Daily Trust is reporting. The Gombe state Governor, Inuwa Yahaya, said Tuesday that his administration cannot pay the new national minimum wage of N70,000. The CBN has allowed next-of-kin, legal representatives, or beneficial owners to claim unclaimed balances in dormant accounts. The CBN clarified this in a report released over the weekend. It stated that next-of-kin can now claim unclaimed funds by submitting applications to financial institutions. These applications must include legal proof of title and for corporate entities, details of directors and authorized signatories. The CBN has the authority to manage dormant accounts and unclaimed funds. It can receive and manage these funds in trust for account holders. President Bola Tinubu has approved a monthly stipend of N50,000 for 10,000 Niger Delta youths to mitigate current hardship in the country. Few months after granting approval for the establishment of a Women Affairs Secretariat in the Federal Capital Territory Administration FCTA, President Bola Tinubu has approved the creation of another Secretariat to cater for youths.
