The Federal government has approved series of road construction projects across various states of the Federation totalling over N1.455 trillion. Minister of Works, Sen. Dave Umahi, disclosed this to State House correspondents after the Federal Executive Council meeting presided over by President Bola Tinubu at the Presidential Villa on Monday. Umahi said these projects spanning thirteen states include those that were deferred during the July 10 meeting due to funding shortages. Fuel scarcity continues to disrupt daily life across Nigeria, affecting states such as Lagos, Ogun and parts of Abuja. Oba Adejuyigbe Adefunmi II, the reverred monarch of Oyotunji African Village, was allegedly stabbed to death by his sister during a heated argument in Southern Carolina, United States of America. It was gathered that the victim, a 47-year-old man, was taken to a nearby hospital where he died from his wounds. The police command in Yobe says the Boko Haram insurgents have planned to infiltrate the forthcoming protest in August. The command’s spokesman, disclosed this in a statement on Saturday.
