Gunmen suspected to be cultists invaded Ifite-Awka, around Nnamdi Azikiwe University’s school gate in Awka, Anambra State, killing at least six people. The attackers targeted members of a rival cult group hanging around the UNIZIK school gate. Eyewitnesses reported the gunmen stormed the area around 9:30 a.m on Thursday, sparking chaos and panic.
