The Federal Government, on Thursday, suspended the officers in charge of the Maximum and Minimum Custodial Centres, Kirikiri, Lagos State. The Independent National Electoral Commission, (INEC) has presented certificates of return to the Edo State Governor-elect, Monday Okpebholo, and his Deputy, Dennis Idahosa. The certificates were presented to them by the INEC’s National Commissioner in charge of Edo State, Rhoda Gumus, on Thursday, five days after Okpebholo and his deputy were declared the winner of the election. The Federal Government has approved a new monthly allowance of ₦77,000 for National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) members, effective from July 2024.
