Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL), yesterday, said the Dangote Refinery is unable to supply the nation with over 65 million litres of Petroleum Motor Spirit (PMS), stressing that only 10.3 million litres have been received from the facility. Similarly, The Naira depreciated to N1,544.02 per dollar in the Nigerian Autonomous Foreign Exchange Market, NAFEM. Data from FMDQ showed that the indicative exchange rate for NAFEM rose to N1,544.02 per dollar from N1,539.65 per dollar on Wednesday, indicating N4.37 depreciation for the naira. Governor Abba Yusuf of Kano State has dissolved the caretaker committees of all 44 local government areas (LGAs) in the state. The dissolution comes shortly after the Kano State House of Assembly approved a two-month extension for the tenure of the caretaker chairpersons, which would have run from September 9 to November 9, 2024.
