The Nigeria Hydrological Services Agency (NIHSA) has issued a warning to Nigerians regarding the planned water release from Cameroon’s Lagdo Dam, which could impact river levels in the country. The Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC) is constructing six multipurpose emergency shelters in Bayelsa, Delta, and Rivers states for Internally Displaced Persons ahead of the anticipated floods in the Niger Delta region. A man in Lagos has been detained by the police for allegedly killing his neighbor, Gloria, and her son over a dispute related to environmental sanitation in Lekki area.
