The Rivers State Police Command has arrested three students of the University of Port Harcourt (UNIPORT) in connection with a cult clash on campus. The clash, which occurred on Thursday, was between two factions of the Vikings cult group and resulted in one student being injured with machete cuts. The Federal Government has explained the cause of the Maiduguri flood disaster, stressing that no dam broke as initially speculated. According to the government, the recent devastating Maiduguri flood was caused by the overflow of the Ngadda River, and not collapse of the Alau Dam .
