The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC of Kaduna Zonal Directorate has charged one Ibrahim Shuaibu before Justice Darius Khobo of the Kaduna State High Court sitting in Kaduna State for fraud. Abdelmadjid Tebboune has been declared the winner of Algeria’s presidential election held on Saturday, securing a landslide victory with over 90% of the votes. Mohamed Charfi, head of the Algerian electoral commission, announced the results at a press conference on Sunday. Finance Minister and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Wale Edun, has dismissed rumours of a potential hike in the Value-Added Tax (VAT) rate from 7.5% to 10%.
