Governor Ahmadu Umaru Fintiri of Adamawa State has commenced payment of the N70,000 minimum wage approved by the federal government. President Bola Tinubu signed the new Minimum Wage bill into law a few weeks ago. This was after back and forth with organised labour. Barely 24 Hours after a truck rammed into a vehicle and a pedestrian in the Lafenwa area of Ogun State, two persons were killed when a truck crushed a tricycle in the Papalanto area of the state. The Accident, according to the spokesman for the Traffic Compliance and Enforcement Agency, Babatunde Akinbiyi, occurred in the early hours of Friday. Minister of Education, Prof. Tahir Mamman, disclosed, on Friday, that over 22, 500 Nigerians are parading fake certificates obtained from Benin Republic and Togo between 2019 and 2023. He said that over 21, 600 obtained the certificates from unaccredited universities in Benin Republic within the time frame, while about 1,105 also obtained theirs at some unaccredited Universities in Togo.
