Yesterday, youths from the Bayelsa west senatorial district described as “Ofurumapepe Youths” that is companied with grassroot mobilizers at various levels stormed Ogobiri community, the Administrative headquarters of the Mein Oyakiri rural development authority, in Sagbama local government area, of Bayelsa State.
The youths were led by a former Political Secretary to Sagbama local government council, Mr Preye Okoriye to people of Ogobiri, to share common believe as they tend to scout the development level of the area and seek information about what can contribute to enhanced human capital advancement to the people.
During the meeting with community leaders, and women, Mr Okoriye thanked them for the community’s support to Senator Henry Seriake Dickson and the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) over the years, and urged them to continue giving support to those working in the interest of peace and progress in the Senatorial District.
He particularly eulogized their massive support to Senator Dickson of Bayelsa west, describing them as the Senators “Motivating Factor” which further strengthens him to effectively discharge his legislative functions at the floor of the Senate.
In response, Comrade Desire Ekade, a respected youth leader of Ogobiri who served as part of host at the meeting, praises Dickson’s boldness at the red chambers. He expressed confidence that Dickson has shown capacity in representing the entire Ijaw nation with quality and determination.
The Women and youths who spoke on behalf of the community thanked Senator Dickson for his rich representation, especially his human empowerment projects, both those he has done and those ahead, stressing that his continuous support to improved human capital will greatly impact their lives and the senatorial district at large.
