Amidst the widely known struggle for political willpower in Rivers state, the caretaker committee chairman (CTC) of Ikwerre local government area, Dr. Darlington Orji has brought delight and great relief to its citizens.
The Ikwerre Chairman, yesterday in Aluu community, gave the sum of N100,000 each to six hundred (600) citizens of Ikwerre, tricycles, cars and donated operational vehicles to all security apparatus operating in Ikwerre local government area of the state.
Rt. Hon. Victor Oko Jumbo, speaker of the Rivers State House of Assembly who represented the state Governor, Sir Siminialayi Fubara expressed satisfaction, as he say’s it’s inline with the policies of the state government to alleviate hunger and prosper Rivers people.
The speaker further took to his facebook page to commend Dr Darlington Orji for contributing greatly to human and overall development in Ikwerre and the state in general.
“I had the privilege of representing the Governor of Rivers State, His Excellency, Amaopusenibo, Sir, Siminialayi Fubara, GSSRS, at Aluu Community in Ikwerre Local Government Area, where the Caretaker Committee Chairman, Dr Darlington Orji took the economic empowerment of his people to yet another impressive level.”
“I supervised the payment of 100,000 naira each to 600 beneficiaries and the distribution of Mini Buses, Tricycles, and vehicles to constituents of Ikwerre LGA which generally sparked off wild jubilation in the arena.”
“As if not enough, operational vehicles where further donated to the entire Divisional Police Officers and the DSS formation in Ikwerre LGA.”
“I must commend the CTC Chairman of Ikwerre LGA for this mega outreach in times as this which is in line with Governor Fubara’s mandate to all CTC Chairmen to mainly focus on alleviating the hunger, hardship and economic fever that is bedeveling the country.” He said.
