In a significant development following the May 29, 2026 primaries of the Nigeria Democratic Congress (NDC), Kokodiagbene-born grassroot politician, High Chief Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei, has emerged as the party’s flagbearer for the Warri Federal Constituency.

Dedicating his victory to the people of the constituency, Chief Pedro Tuwayerin Bekenawei pledged to provide sincere, purposeful, and transformative representation if elected as the Member representing Warri Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives.
State Reporters informed that Chief Pedro has officially picked up his nomination form, in line with the party’s requirement that only duly elected flagbearers proceed with the nomination process.
Speaking shortly after obtaining the form in Abuja, he expressed profound gratitude to members of the Nigeria Democratic Congress for the confidence reposed in him through their votes during the party primaries held on May 29, 2026.
Chief Pedro also called on his family, friends, supporters, and all constituents across Warri Federal Constituency to remain steadfast in engaging with the people and mobilising support for both his candidacy and the NDC ahead of the 2027 House of Representatives election. According to him, such collective efforts will pave the way for genuine change and sustainable development in the constituency.
