The Pere of Kumbowei Kingdom in Bayelsa state, His Royal Majesty, Sufadoh B. Sufadoh has said, he is a non partisan and not a member of any registered political party.
The declaration was meant to debunk a statement by the Sagbama APC Chairman Mr Jonah Abeke, who stated his name among a list of suspended APC Chieftains in Sagbama local government last week, on anti-party activities.
King Sufadoh through the secretary of the Kumbowei council of chiefs, High Chief Michael Amboro charged the Sagbama APC Chairman Abeke and the publisher of the purported notice, seven days to render a public apology in written, and an official address to the Kumbowei Kingdom.

The Kumbowei Clan Council of Chiefs has stated that its attention has been drawn to a media report circulating on some radio stations and social media platforms made by one Mr Jonah Abeke, supposed chairman of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Sagbama Local Government Chapter claiming that Pere Boloyi Sufadoh among other chieftains was suspended for anti-party activities in a statement signed by Chief Michael Amboro, the secretary of the Kumbowei kingdom council of chiefs and Chief Ekisah Sinkumo, the spokesman of the council.
The council expresses its need to address the public, Mr. Jonah Abeke, and his associates.
The council clarified that HRM Sufadoh B. Sufadoh, Embareba V Pere of Kumbowei Kingdom who was mentioned in the publication as high chief Boloyi Sufadoh isn’t a member of the All Progressive Congress (APC). According to the statement, at no time has their revered monarch been addressed as High Chief, before ascending the throne, he was usually addressed as Prince Boloyi Sufadoh the son of their late King, he ascended the throne following the passing of his father.
The statement further noted that since King Boloyi Sufadoh ascended the throne as Embareba V. Pere of Kumbowei Kingdom, referring to him as a high chief is an insult to the King, the royal stool, the kingdom, and the entire people of Kumbowei both in Bayelsa and Delta State.
The statement emphasizes that as the traditional head of the Kumbowei kingdom and the first-class traditional ruler, the monarch severed tides with all political parties before his coronation as such he remains non-partisan.
The council described Mr Johan Abeke’s claims that their revere King isn’t a member of the APC or any other political party as derogatory and an insult to the people of Kumbowei Kingdom. He demand a public apology from the author of the news item both in writing and addressed to the royal stool and the people of Kumbowei Kingdom within seven days.
