The former Chairman of the Ijaw National Congress Dr. Godwill Selekeowei has send appreciation message to the King of Tarakiri Clan, His Royal Majesty, Dr. Seiyifa Koroye, for all time support while he served as the clan’s chairman.
Dr. Godwill in a facebook post by his media assistant, Mr Ezou Emmanuel on Tuesday, extolled the Tarakiri king and chiefs of the clan for the good romance in delivering his function as Ijaw national congress’s chairman.
He also praised the Governor of Bayelsa state, Senator Douye Diri, Deputy Governor Lawrence Ewhrudjakpo and the Senator representing Bayelsa west, Senator Henry Seriake Dickson, for serving good purposes in assisting him to succeed in office.
Dr. Godwill has promised to continue to work in the interest of the clan while preparing for any opportunity of service. He however appealed all the authorities and people of goodwill in Tarakiri clan at home or diaspora, to support the current Hon. Lokiri Lawrence led INC executives.

My esteemed stakeholders of Tarakiri Kingdom,
I am writing to express my heartfelt gratitude as I hand over the mantle of Ijaw National Congress (INC) leadership, a role I have held since September 2021. As the saying goes, “whatever that has a beginning must have an end,” and I am proud of what we have achieved together.
My leadership of INC Tarakiri Clan also made few significant and positive impacts to our kingdom, most especially the area of fostering peace and unity, the youths knowing the past/present Kings, knowing Tarakiri Kingdom communities and Tarakiri History Book production approved by the fathers and leaders of Tarakiri Kingdom. These and many more were achieved through various programs and individual engagements. This success would not have been possible without your support and cooperation.

It is my earnest appeal that such support and solidarity be extended to the new Exco.
