The Nigerian Communications Commission (NCC) has announced that it will be granting approval for tariff adjustment requests by Network Operators in response to prevailing market conditions. This is pursuant to its power under Section 108 of the Nigerian Communications Act, 2003 (NCA) to regulate and approve tariff rates and charges by telecommunications operators. Tragedy struck in the Amai community, Ukwuani Local Government Area of Delta State, as a 70-year-old man, Mr Aghanti, and his 50-year-old daughter, Mrs Atagoshi, were reportedly beheaded over a land dispute. The Academic Staff Union of Universities, Taraba State University, has suspended its strike, which began on December 5, 2024.
